Walking With Moose

Hello All,

I had the fortunate luck to travel throughout the east coast of Canada and the United States these past two-and-a-half weeks. As was planned, spending four days exploring Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and more specifically, the Cabot Trail, gave me the opportunity to hike many of the trails and photograph moose.

During my time, I was lucky to cross paths with eight diffent moose, including three bulls, four cows, and one calf. All were spotted on the Skyline Trail and most during the early morning or late afternoon hours.

Moose are a wondeful animal to shoot with the camera. Not only are they massive in size, they are also very charismatic in posture, often leading to striking images.

The following is a selection of my favourite images from the various shoots…

Will be definitely heading back again next fall…to walk with these giant creatures of the forest.

Yours in the Outdoors,

Justin
